The ingredients to prepare Calabrian hamburger

4 high-quality hamburger buns

4 slices of caciocavallo silano PDO cheese

4 tablespoons of red Tropea onion cream

8 slices of pancetta PDO

8 sun-dried tomatoes

2 large potatoes from Sila PGI

4 hamburger

Extra virgin olive oil

Salt and pepper to taste

How to prepare Calabrian hamburger

Preheat the grill or a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat.

Slice the potatoes from Sila PGI into thin rounds and season them with salt, pepper, and a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil. 

Grill the pancetta PDO on a grill or in a separate pan until crispy. Once cooked, set it aside on paper towels to remove any excess grease.

On the same hot grill, place the slices of caciocavallo silano PDO cheese. Cook them for about 2-3 minutes per side until a golden crust forms.

Then, start to cook the hamburger meat. 

While the cheese and meat are cooking, toast the hamburger buns on the grill to make them slightly crispy.

Now it's time to create your burger!

Spread the Red Tropea Onion Cream on the bottom bun.

Add the freshly grilled caciocavallo silano PDO on top and the 2 slices of crispy pancetta. Add the chopped sun-dried tomatoes and, in a separte plate, the seasoned potatoes.
