Calabrian waffle sandwiches

The ingredients to prepare Calabrian waffle sandwiches
- Sun-dried tomatoes
- Eggs
- 350g chestnut flour
- 100ml water
- 150ml milk
- 8g instant yeast for savory cakes
- 80g Calabrian spianata sausage
- 20g sun-dried tomatoes
- 40g grated Calabrian pecorino cheese
- 20ml extra-virgin olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
How to prepare Calabrian waffle sandwiches
Start by mixing chestnut flour, yeast, and salt in a bowl. In another bowl, beat the egg with the milk and extra-virgin olive oil and add them to the dry ingredients.
On one side, cut Calabrian pecorino cheese, Calabrian spianata sausage, and sun-dried tomatoes into small cubes.
Heat a waffle iron and start cooking the waffles for 5 minutes on each side. Serve the hot waffles and garnish with grated Calabrian pecorino cheese shavings.
