Calabrian rice salad recipe
Rice salad is the summer dish par excellence: fresh, light and rich in appetizing condiments to be customized according to your taste. Here is a version based on typical Calabrian products, starting with rice grown in the generous Sibari's land.
Ingredients for 4 people
- 320 g of Sibari's land rice
- 320 g of canned tuna
- 50 g of crushed olives
- 50 g of courgettes in oil
- 50 g of aubergines in oil
- 10 ciliegino tomatoes
How to make the Calabrian rice salad
Cook the rice in salted water for two minutes less than the time indicated on the package, drain and let it cool by distributing it on a tray.
In the meantime, take care of the seasoning, slicing the tomatoes and carefully draining the oil from the other ingredients to prevent the rice from becoming excessively impregnated.
Combine all the ingredients, stir gently and let the rice gain flavor. To enhance the flavors of this dish, it is recommended to eat it accompanied by a rose wine with a fresh and soft taste. Enjoy your meal!
