The best Calabrian panettone is made in Montalto Uffugo
Montalto Uffugo is a land of excellence. In many sectors, over the years, various people of this town have distinguished themselves for their skills and expertise. Now it is the turn of the culinary sector to receive a fine award for the best panettone in Calabria.

Master pastry chef Luigi Spadafora, from Montalto Uffugo, took part in the "2021 National Competition for the Best Panettone in Italy" organised by Panettone Day, an exclusive competition promoted by Braims in partnership with Novacart, in collaboration with Callebaut, FB and Vitalfood and with the technical partnership of Cast Alimenti, created to award the best artisan panettone and promote the excellence of Italian pastry making. The recipe for the traditional panettone, made in the Perugia street bakery, won Luigi the prize for the best panettone in the region.

Luigi Spadafora comments: “Our production is aimed at a market with very voluptuous consumption. Our products offer exciting moments full of pleasure, such as chocolates with chilli from Diamante, bergamot from Reggio Calabria, citron from Santa Maria del Cedro, clementines from Sibari and Calabrian figs. We also make objects in pure chocolate and produce panettone, torroncini and other innovative sweets. Our characteristic is to bring products of excellence throughout the national and international territory, which is a fundamental principle of our business".
